print variations in poster:
The 1st printing was deliberately printed slightly out of register to suggest the visual effects of LSD. This pre-concert edition is 14 3/16" x 19 7/8" and shows "The Bindweed Press, San Francisco" at the bottom left hand corner of the poster. 1,000 posters were printed for this run.
The 2nd printing is 14 1/4" x 20 1/2" and omits the Bindweed credit. "No.16-2" is in the bottom right corner and "(c) Family Dog Productions 1725 Washington Street San Francisco" is in the lower left corner. The 2nd printing was printed after the concert, without the distortion of the original printing.

print variations in handbill:
The handbill was printed once before the concert in two different varieties. Both versions measure 8 1/2" x 11".
1st printing A is green ink on light green paper.
1st printing B is less common, displaying green ink on white paper.

The original/first print poster was printed on vellum stock, and bears "The Bindweed Press, San Francisco" printing credit in the lower right corner of the poster.  Only 1,000 posters were printed.  The image was deliberately printed off register to enhance the psychedelic/drug induced visual effect.  This poster measures approx.  14 1/8" X 20".  This poster is rarely seen (or any of the other early FD posters for that matter) in top condition.

The second print poster, an authorized reprint, was printed on uncoated index stock, and carries the notation "No. 16-2" in the lower right corner.  The Bindweed credit does not appear on this poster.  This poster measures approx.  14 1/2" X 20 1/2", and was most probably printed in 1967.

This poster was forged in the early 1970's.  This unauthorized bootleg poster bears the "San Francisco Poster Co." printing credit.

The original handbill was printed prior to the shows on very thin paper, and measures approx.  8 1/2" X 11"  It exists in two variations, green paper and white paper.
