It's pretty clear that this record was the predecessor to "Wooly Bully" and is totally lost and un-credited. This is the sort of stuff that lawsuits are made of.

Sam Samudio, of Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs, got started in the music biz while in Dallas, and it was very likely that THIS RECORD of "Hully Gully, Now" was the inspiration for his 1965 #2 hit single "Wooly Bully."

This single, by a Dallas group called Big Bo And The Arrows is of the song "Hully Gully, Now." It dates from around 1960 when the Hully Gully was the new dance making the rounds. In this recording you get several elements that would later turn up as key ingredients in "Wooly Bully":

First off is the incessant organ beat driving along the song. At :54 Little Smitty says 'Watch it, watch it now' and the band does that restart of the song just as in 'Wooly Bully'

at 1:18 Little Smitty sings "Well mama told pappa, 'bout a song she heard... " which is very similar to the line "Mattie told Hattie, 'bout the thing she saw...."

and the refrain of "we gonna Hullllllly! Hully Gully !" is delivered exactly the same way as "Woooooly, Wooly Bully!"

And the rhythmic bit at the front of "Wooly Bully" where they play 1 -2, 1-2-3-4 is repeated in similar places in "Hully Gully, Now."

Duchess Records #1013 out of New Orleans from around 1962 ~ "Hully Gully Now" features Little Smitty on vocals and obviously a several years earlier influence to the recording of "Wooly Bully" by Sam The Sham & The Pharohs ~ "Big Bo's Twist" is a great RnB "twist' instrumental similiar to The Mar-Keys (Last Night) sound of the same era ~ Record is near mint (M-) and comes from unplayed old original stock
