If You Really Want Me To, I'll Go/Walk About

1965

Brownfield 18.  If You Really Want Me To, I'll Go (2:07) / Walk About (2:11).  Early Delbert McClinton recorded for one of Major Bill Smith's early Ft. Worth labels, in 1965.  Also released on Smash #1986.  Delbert is given writer's credit for both sides, although the flip is just an instrumental.  (On the Smash issue, "Walk About" is credited to R. Hildebrand, another one of Major Bill's major artists.)  A-side has a name written on the label.  Vinyl plays VG+.

SCOTTY McKAY

Uni 55205.  High On Life (3:06) / If You Really Want Me To, I'll Go (2.34).  From 1970, also released on Major Bill Smith's Charay label (#1004).  A-side written by Ronnie Self, who cut it for Mala.  Also recorded by Scotty McKay's old boss, Gene Vincent.  B-side is a rocked-up version of Delbert McClinton's 1965 hit.  Promo labels are excellent, the factory sleeve has some wrinkles.  Vinyl plays a strong VG+.
