info from eBay (reelgeorgeinc):

SUGAR PIE DeSANTO
"Slip-In Mules"

Sugar Pie DeSanto's earthy approach was suited equally to R&B and blues, and she cut both for Chess during the 60s. Discovered by bandleader Johnny Otis, who was responsible for her debut sides on Federal, DeSanto scored her biggest R&B seller, "I Want to Know," for producer Bob Geddins of Veltone Records in 1960.

After she signed with Checker, her April 1964 "Slip-In Mules (No High Heel Sneakers)" nearly made the top 40 R&B charts. It was the answer to Tommy Tucker's "High Heel Sneakers." [Bill Dahl, All Music Guide]
